Hadith no: 267
Narrated / Authority Of: Safinah
“The Messenger of Allah (saw) used to perform ablution with a Mudd (of water) and bath with a Sa.”* (Sahih) *Mudd is a measure of two thirds of a kilogram (approx.), while Sa equals 4 Mudd (3 kilograms approx.).

Hadith no: 270
Narrated / Authority Of: Abdullah bin Muhammad bin Aqil bin Abu Talib
from his father that his grandfather said: “The Messenger of Allah (saw) said: ‘A Mudd is sufficient for the ablution and a Sa’ is sufficient for the bath.’ A man said: ‘It is not sufficient for us.’” He (the narrator) said: “It was sufficient for one who is better than you and had more hair” meaning the Prophet (saw). (Sahih)


Hadith no: 271
Narrated / Authority Of: Usamah bin Umair Al-Hudhali
“The Messenger of Allah (saw) said: ‘Allah does not accept any prayer without purification and He does not accept any charity from Ghulul.’”* (Sahih) Another chain with similar wording. *Ghulul refers to withholding goods captured among the spoils of war, and the meaning includes deceitfully taking what one has no right to.

that his father said: “The Messenger of Allah (saw) said: ‘The key to prayer is purification, its opening is to say ‘Allahu Akbar’ (Allah is Great) and its closing is to say As-salamu ‘alaikum.’ (peace be upon you)” (Hasan)


Hadith no: 276

that the Messenger of Allah (saw) said: “The key to prayer is purification, its opening is to say Allahu Akbar and its closing is to say As-salamu ‘aliakum.” (Hasan)
